JT's Director of Corporate Affairs, Daragh McDermott:
We wholeheartedly welcome the guidance covering the fair processing of personal data, released by the Office of the Information Commissioner. If it widely acknowledge that the 'Reverse Number Look-up' facility is a tool used by fraudsters and unscrupulous sales agents. That being the case, to ensure that every effort is taken to protect our customers and their data, the directory no longer contains the Reverse Number Look-up section. We are pleased that the Office of the Information Commissioner has clarified this matter and will remain in close contact to ensure that the Jersey Directory complies with best practices in regard to the protection and fair process of personal data
